The panel titled “Women and Youth Employment: Active Society” organized by Kosovo Young Unity Association was held with an intense participation. In the panel, Sevgi Buş Kika, Communicator and Secretary General of KTTO Esin Muzbeg and young businesswoman, founder company owner Nalan Biba took part as speakers, while the president of the association Cengiz Kovaç was present at the event and had important consultations and exchanged ideas with the participants.
Social Responsibility and Goal Setting
Sevgi Buş Kika, who delivered the opening speech of the panel, emphasized the importance of our responsibilities to society and our service approach within the framework of an active society. Highlighting the necessity of raising awareness about solutions to youth and women’s employment issues, Buş Kika stated that individuals should develop themselves, set goals, and never give up on their dreams, regardless of the field they are in.
The Importance of Embracing Our Values
Another speaker at the panel, Esin Muzbeg, touched upon the importance of being aware of our responsibilities as a society and embracing our values in terms of employment policies. Pointing out the disconnect between supply and demand in employment, Muzbeg stated that more exploration and participation could resolve this issue.
Emphasis on Supporting Women’s Entrepreneurship
Speaking as a young businesswoman, Nalan Biba emphasized the need for women to be more entrepreneurial. She stated that taking advantage of government support and grants to start a business plays a key role in women gaining economic independence.
The panel concluded with the distribution of participant documents, creating significant awareness regarding the employment participation of young people and women. The Young Union Association stated that it will continue to contribute to society through such organizations.
